STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO ORDERING SHUTTERS
Plantation Shutters are an investment which is likely to increase the value of your home, improve energy efficiency and look wonderful. We will help you design your perfect shutter solution.
At The Suffolk Shutter Company we will explain the different shutter options available, and advise you on what will suit your room, home and budget. Using our expertise and years of experience you can be confident you will be happy with your design, giving you the look you want, at a price you can afford.
We are a small independent business. We won’t give you a long sales pitch or keep chasing you. We are here to help, and support you to make the right decision to meet your needs.
Our aim is to provide you with a high quality product supported by high quality customer service. We treat each customer’s home and office as if it were our own, helping you to find your perfect shutter.
The Suffolk Shutter Company will be available for any questions throughout the process. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and excellent customer service.
We can complete a first survey and discuss your requirements in as little as 15 minutes. We will answer any questions you have about the different shutters we can offer and understand what product fits best for you and your home.

Initial Shutter Survey
During our initial communication, whether by telephone or email, the team will establish what room or rooms you are considering shutters for, and whether The Suffolk Shutter Company can help. We will then visit you, in your home or office, for an initial design consultation. During this consultation we will show you samples, run through design options, louvre widths, opening mechanisms and colours. Measurements of the window will be taken to allow a quote to be produced.
Don’t worry if you can’t decide exactly what you want at this stage: we can always cost up a couple of different options for you.
The estimate will be emailed to you. Once accepted, we will arrange a second survey.

Detailed Site Survey
Once you have accepted our estimate, we will get in touch to arrange an appointment for either Sacha or one of our trained fitters to complete a more detailed survey.
The final price will be confirmed and emailed to you as a quote. When you are ready a 75% deposit is paid and your order is placed.

Delivery & Installation
Once your shutters arrive, we will contact you to arrange a convenient date for our fitter to install your shutters. The remaining 25% balance is to be paid prior to the installation date.
Installation typically takes between half a day and two days depending on the number of shutters you have ordered.

Manufacturers Warranty & Aftercare
All of our shutters come with a manufacturers warranty to give you complete peace of mind. Our faux wood shutters have a 10 year warranty and our wood shutters have a 3 year warranty.
The warranty will be issued when your shutters have been fitted.
